I feel like everyone and their mom has heard about the butter bronzer and loves it, but if we are being honest, I am black, the make up industry is still trying to adjust therefore none of those shades would work on me.
When I saw that they came out with the butter highlighters I got so excited because I knew this was something I could use.
Also one thing I liked about these highlighters is that they have ingredients in them that work with sensitive skin which is a total plus in my books since we all know my skin is more sensitive then a babies ass.
I got both shades which are rose gold and champagne.
Rose Gold is exactly that a Rose Gold colour, and when I looked at the highlighters that I own I really don’t own a colour like this.
When I swatched it on my hand, I literally dipped my finger in and honestly that was one of the most creamiest products I have ever touched.
To put this to the test, I wore it on my face for a good like 10-12 hours as I was out all day in the raging Toronto heat WITHOUT my car and lets just say this is what it looked like when I got home.
Yes, let’s talk about the fact that I wear a lot of highlighter but it is what it is.
All in all, this one had to be my favourite out of the two. I still need to figure out how to apply it properly because it clearly isn’t going to work with my fan brush but I’ll figure that out when I get there.
Now for the colour Champagne, I think that’s how you spell it. Well, majority of people who wear highlighter already have a gold somewhere in their collection, so as this one did have the same long wearing effect and what not, I just have so many other gold highlighters that I prefer better.
This is what the gold looked like after a LONG day of work.
SO my final thoughts and opinions? The highlighter is good and if you are looking for something on the more affordable side, these were only $14.97 at Wal-Mart. Again, the gold didn’t excite me as much because I have SO MANY other gold highlighters that I like a little bit better, but the rose gold was super bomb.
