Skincare routine? More like 3 steps

Everyone I know of that is into beauty has a skincare routine.

Not me, I don’t have time or energy for all of that, I have what I like to call skincare steps. It is a 3 step system and it has helped my skin clear up so much.

For the past few months, I had really bad breakouts all over my face and literally nothing was helping, I started doing these three steps and my skin has been so nice and clear.

I did suffer with acne was I was 13 to about 15/16.  After that my skin has been relatively good but as of lately it was giving me so many problems due to stress & other things happening in my life.

First, if I am wearing makeup, I take it off with makeup remover wipes I use these wipes that I found at Walmart, you get 25 for only $3.97.  I then wet my face and my hands with water and use Castile Soap, I got this huge bottle from Winners for like $6.99.

I rub it in my hands and then lather it all over my face, I do that for about one minute and wash it off.

I then take a cotton pad (organic cotton pad to be exact) and pour some witch hazel on it and use that to wipe off any dirt on my face that may still remain.  Witch hazel will literally remove all the dirt that washing your face misses, plus it is an amazing toner.

I then pump some oil into my hands, this oil that I use is Olive & Avocado oil & rub that all over my face.  I personally use oil at night because it can give off the most moisture for my face and it’s not too heavy as I don’t use too much, plus I don’t have a night cream.

Depending on how I feel I may spray my face with some rose water but that isn’t a must. That is literally all I do when it comes to my skincare.

You guys are probably wondering, why castile soap?  Well here are some benefits:

  • Natural and free of toxins
  • Often organic, vegan or fair trade
  • Doesn’t encourage super bacteria
  • Lathers easily
  • Many versatile uses
  • Environmentally friendly

Castile soap has multiple uses as well:

  • Body wash
  • Shampoo
  • Facial Cleanser (For sensitive skin especially)
  • Laundry detergent
  • Dish Soap
  • Unisex shaving cream
  • Soap toothpaste
  • Natural Dog Shampoo

There are still so many other uses, but I mean it’s amazing what one bottle of soap can be used for.

The odd time I do end up breaking out, I do my normal skincare routine & add in a facemask depending on how I feel.  I will also spot treat my breakouts with tea tree oil since it drys out the pimple, or I will go the old fashioned way and use toothpaste.
