Honestly, I don’t like watching TV. I didn’t watch TV for YEARS but lately with being done school and not having much to do, I have dabbed back into the TV world and it isn’t too bad.
Some of my favourite shows right now are, Storage Wars (the original), My 600LB Life & Hoarders Buried Alive.
Storage Wars is basically a show on a group of people who buy abandoned storage lockers & sometimes they find treasures, sometimes they find crap. I more like the show for the characters who are reoccurring, and the relationships that they have with each other. I started watching this show years ago when it first came out and I still love it.
My 600LB Life, kind of self explanatory. This show is focused on people weighing 600 plus pounds, they go over how they got to this point in their lives and their weight loss journey, which for the most part is always a struggle. They talk about traumatic childhood experiences, how eating makes them feel, the gastric bypass surgey they have and how they basically cope with life after that. The show is heartbreaking in the sense that, if these people do not get serious about losing weight, there is a good chance that they could die.
Last but not least, Hoarders Buried Alive. A hoarder for better words is someone who can not get rid of stuff, they keep it even though they don’t need it. It is said that hoarding is a mental disorder which I totally agree with, it takes a lot for someone to be okay with living in clutter and sometimes even filth. I watched an episode just yesterday, where the hoarder’s house was so bad that they ended up having to throw out every single thing and abandon the house because it was way to infested with roaches.
As I said, I don’t watch TV much but when I do, these are definitely the shows I look out for..
